Default Racing ERA engine mounts

Bob,

I am interested to know if you guys use anything apart from factory style rubber engine mounts in your cars for clubmans style racing.

I have posted elsewhere on the forum regarding mounts, but am having trouble relating to US car models etc, I know the aussie falcon windsor V8 fits perfectly, and am thinking about fitting a bolt through the mounts loosely to limit movement. I assume that the falcon mounts are same as early about 69 Mustang, but most of the listing start on the web at around 84 onwards.

Something tells me to fit the standard mounts and forget it!

For road racing, we use standard small-block mounts.

P203 uses old style ERA GT-40 mounts...very compact and solid......but then it's seldom raced...

Default Motor mounts

I have found these and they look like being a good compromise!

FM-12 looks like what I am using for 289 in my application.
The actual part #2316 was sourced from a manufacturer by the name of "Anchor' through Kragen auto parts. It uses one long horizontal bolt through the ears on the lower part of the mount and through the chassis. The other two holes allow the mount to be bolted to the engine block vertically. It is made with a bolt through the center of the mount to keep it from separating. It is a well made item. Anchor seems to be a major supplier in the motor mount industry.

For those interested, it looks like the MityMount FM132 will fit the small-block into an ERA.
