Default Front Rotor Wear

I have Sierra front calipers on my ERA. I have about 1000 miles on the car and I am noticing the outer edge (first half inch) of the front rotor is wearing. It actually looks like it is cutting into the rotor a bit. I don't hear or feel any grinding. Any thoughts on what I should do?

Here are some pics (hopefully they upload). I checked the rotor runout and it is .002 which I assume is well in spec. Is this a case of a bad brake pad?

Joe,

It looks like you picked up some dirt between the pad and rotor.

It almost comes down to aesthetics. I don't think that the function is significantly effected, unless you feel pulling to one side or another under braking. Otherwise, you can have the rotor turned to clean it up at your discretion.

Thanks Bob,
As long as it doesn't get worse I won't sweat it. I'll keep an eye on it. I feel no pulling at this point.
