I just "stripped" my entire firewall and am doing major overhaul to the engine bay and dash (new gauges, etc).
I was thinking of lining the firewall and foot boxes with something. Aluminum sheeting maybe, but hard to keep "nice and shiny"? Stainless steel, but what a pain to drill for mounting relays and such. The footboxes have a "round edge" on them at the top, making it difficult to fit the curve.
Recommendations? And IS covering the footboxes/firewall with some kind of metal an "option" from the factory?
