Mod to radiator for steel tube upper?

Thanks to the info & help I received from the fine folks on this board I'm in the process of converting my snake to the dual quad setup, while apart I figured I'd add the steel tube radiator hose setup to the car but have had no luck finding what I need to do (checked w/ERA & Pete's trying to get me a pic of the radiator w/the upper hose fitting for the steel tube). My car is #566
& has the radiator w/the upper fitting on the radiator about 45degrees to the passenger side (sorry it's an FE motor), has anyone done this modification to their radiator?, Pete said he believes you have to have the original fitting turned 90 degrees to the left, so the outlet points straight back & a little up, then the steel tube kit from ERA should bolt right on, does anyone know if this is correct? My problem is the radiator is out of the car, already at the rad shop for a test & clean & I'd like to get the mods done while it's there so I can order the tube from ERA & be able to get it all back together this coming week (manifold/carbs etc should be here then) but don't want to modify the radiator unless I know for sure. Thanks in advance for any info!

I don't know if this will help, but here are the 2 pictures I have handy of the upper radiator hose including the steel tube in my ERA #629.

Here's my ERA-722 with the dual quad set up. Hope this helps you. Peter should be able to get you everything you need.

Chris & Frank, thanks, great lookin cars!, hope mine comes out as nice! waitin for the manifold & carbs to arrive to get started on reassembly. Were either of the cars originally equipped w/radiator for the rubber upper hose (w/the 45% bend to the pass side)? or were they equipped for the steel tube from ERA? Pete's been great & tryin to help (between the other 5000 things he tries to do in a day!) but turnin the original tube 90% he said he "believed" is what had to be done, I didn't want to modify the radiator until I was sure, Bob sent me a pic of the radiator for the steel connector then sent me a spec sheet for it today, I think the spec sheet will tell what modification has to be done, I couldn't get to the radiator shop today so will be there Monday & let the guy take a look & see if he can get it done. Again, thanks for the help.

I never had to change my radiator. I didn't realize that there was a difference between with the steel tube vs without but I put the steel tube on my order form with ERA from day 1 so I guess they knew which radiator to give me.

It looks to me that if you are not using the remote oil filter, you could shorten the connecting tube on the expansion-tank and use the standard radiator with a different hose.
