Default fia# 2110 almost on the road

well it's been a while but the engine is in and it's running. just the interior and the rear wireing left and It will be done very soon hopefully. I look foward to taking the initial test run in this balmy 40deg weather were having. so if you see a large pile of coats driving by wearing goggles, it will be me. i will post the final pics hopefully soon.
thanks to the guys at era for being really helpfull about everything, I have a list of people waiting to see it that are interested in a kitcobra and I can confidently say that this is the best car and the best guys to deal with and as soon as the weather permits I will drive it up there say hello. I also want to mention the precision engine machine co. who built an awsome motor to go in here and who were tolerant of me sitting around asking a million questions for 3 or 4 hours.

Great job!
Will you be going with the aluminum floor "naked" interior with leather seats?
Nice touch using the street dash, it is my favorite way to go in the ERA FIA!

i have been debating on the floor, I am probably going to put the full interior in. This was a project of my father and mine and since he pays the bills he gets the final say he seems to prefer a slightly quieter ride we are probably going to dynamat and carpet the interior. I have a better camera to take some poster shots once it is all done up.

Beautiful.

I see you have the undercar exhaust. If there is another ERA in me (given advancing age etc.), I would love to do a small block, street version with the undercar exhaust.

Jim

this is the complete engine before it went in the car.
man, I can't wait. I think the biggest obstacle is going to be registering it because neither my father nor I have a clue how to register it in MD.
I have grand road trip plans once the weather gets warmer(dosn't everybody ) so I could swing by white plains, NY on the way north and take a look at those GT's of yours and you can see if like mine.

Very nice! I had to wait on finishing up my FIA as the sign shop gave me the wrong material to mask off the numbers. The the adhesive stuck to the freshly painted meatballs and I have to wait until spring to repaint the car! I was planning on having it built over the winter so I could drive it in the spring.

Best of luck on finishing your FIA.

Default Erafia2110

Both my FIA and my GT are still up in New Britain. I have a new motor going into the FIA and the FIA motor (with a new Dart block) is due to go into the GT. At the moment I have wheels for the GT out at a machine shop to reduce the back spacing a bit so that the wheel sits "right" in the fender opening.

I too have the dream of getting both of them home under one roof...

ERA289FIA
Glad to see yours is almost ready. I saw it in several stages in my trips to ERA the past 15 months. Mine, 2111, should be ready next month. There is another 289FIA in Pasadena, MD. Maybe we could all get together sometime after yours and mine are done and on the road.
