Exclamation ERA Carb Linkage Parts Help...

Howdy Bob,

I'm in desperate (ASAP) need of some carb linkage parts and briefly spoke to Peter about this at Carlisle. His street car has some brackets, pins, and springs on the right side (passenger) of the carbs that assist with the throttle closing. These springs are very light weight and this set up is exactly what I need. Attached is a picture that was taken of Peter's car and the red circle outlines the spring and bracket that I'm speaking of.

If you or anyone else knows where I can purchase these I'd be very grateful. Peter said he may be able to help me but since he doesn’t do the computer thing I’m hoping you two can collaborate.

Thanks!
Frank

I think Tony Branda has that linkage setup. (cobranda.com)

Bob, I've got a call and an e-mail into Branda and they're checking it out now.

Bill, Thanks but that's not it.

Larry, I've checked carlsfordparts and they don't have it either.

Bob, If you look on Peter's street car you'll see what I'm talking about. It's the spring, pin, and brackets that help the primary close. Both carbs have the same set up.

Thanks mucho!
Frank

Bob, No joy from Branda. They have nothing like that. If you or Peter can remember where those springs, pins and brackets came from I'd be very grateful. I need them badly.

Thanks!

Exclamation

Howdy Bob & All,

Here's a better picture of what I'm talking about. Sad part is that the rubber fuel line covers the most important part I need which is the spring perch that bolts to the carb stud.

It's a very clean set up and I sure do need one badly.

Thanks,
Frank

Frank:
It looks like the attachment on the left (blocked by the hose) might be just a hole drilled in the top of a longer 5/16" bullet nosed carb stud, which the spring passes through?
