Clutch Help
I think I might have wrote down the wrong info Doug gave me for the clutch I need. He told me (i thought) to get a centerforce dual friction inch and one 16th by 26 spline, 11".
I tried to order one from JEGS and they don't have the specific one and they said it is not listed in the CF cat.
Any help? Did I take the wrong info down.
TIA.

I use a Centerforce 10.5" w/matching pressure plate. Just make sure your splines are correct.

I've been to a few cruise nights lately...maybe I'll get down to the beach in West Haven this Sunday evening. Where in Milford are you?

How far along are you on your build? I heard you took delivery of your car some time ago.

I'm ramping it up now, had some personal issues I had to deal with - Dad passed away. The car has kind of been medicine lately.
I am very close, probably 2-4 weeks to completion.
Motor is ready to go to dyno and I have been gathering all the last bits, pieces, screws, nuts and bolts to finish.
I'd like to have the drive train in by next weekend assuming I get it back from the dyno. I was promised either Friday of this week or Monday of the following. Then I can really go to work.
Even if we don't hook up I'd really like to talk to you over the phone a bare minimum so I can prepare for the inspection.
Your more then welcome to stop by my place as well.

Looks really nice...lots of original engine parts. Is a dyno really necessary? I know you built the engine for the street, and putting it on a dyno will cost you at least a week. I'd just spin the oil pump to get your oil pressure and install it. Just my opinion.
Sorry about your dad.

I'm dyno'ing for one reason, I don't want any problems after I put it in the car. I really don't care if it has 300, 400 or 500 HP, just want to do the best I can to break it in and make sure it is 100%.
I understand your point and I appreciate your opinion. My problem is I'm not a super high end engine guy by any standards so I rather be safe then sorry.

An engine test stand may be sufficient to get what you are looking for without the expense of a dyno. dyno-ing has benefits but since you are not interested in exact numbers, and more interested in functionality a "run-in" on a properly equipped stand may be the trick.
that way if you have issues, gaskets etc that are not behaving you can address them on the stand--- prior to spending x hours getting the thing in the actual engine bay.

PS cool color on the bodywork!
