Here's a couple of shots of mine; maybe this will help.

Default slave again

Thanks.
It is useful to see your pictures. Except my bracket is different and is bolted to the bell housing.
We tried to blaze the nut back on the bracket today and everything seemed fine. The nut is on stronger than ever. Except in the process somehow the round hole in the bracket, through which the slave fits, is no longer round, so the new slave will not fit (it fit before). Somehow the blazing warped the shape of the bracket (and the hole).
Meanwhile, I have ordered a new bracket from ERA, which will hopefully fit.
I am running a 351 Windsor with a Richmond/Dough Nash transmission.

Default slave question

Hi again,
One more thing, do you use washers at both ends of the soft line connection to the slave, that is, on the slave and on the bolt to the connection. I had a leak issue as we, my son and I, tried to put this together (before the nut came off).

Yes, copper sealing washers at both ends.
