Nope, they didn't even change it for the Gen II 427 body! When I was up there last year, I asked Peter why they left it that way and all he said was it relates to the original AC body that they used as a form. I think it is like a beauty mark. They all have it .. and you can instantly tell an ERA 427 from any other make if you know ...
