Default Quad Shock Performance Questions

I'd like to find out what others have done to enhance the performance of the Quad Shock System, and if there are alternatives to FFR's Coil Over and tubular arms with poly bushings.

I know there is a ton of aftermarket suspension parts for mustang suspensions and I'd like to know what has worked.

I'm building a street car. No drag races, no road races, no dirt sprint car races or swamp buggy races. Just drives to the coast with my wife and maybeeeeeee an occasional autocross.

I'm leaning toward the Carrera Coilovers from VPM, Koni Dampers and aftermarket upper and lower control arms with poly bushings.

Thanks

Hi,
The quad shocks are on the rear because of the large oval soft rubber bushing in the lower control arm. On acceleration the rear will move fore and aft and create wheel hop with the bushing. The quad shock dampens that movement.
If you replace the control arms with ones with poly bushings in them, then you don't need the quad shocks, take them off as they will do nothing.
Perry.

Default Thanks for the constructive reply

How will the stiffer arms and poly bushings affect my ride to the beach?

Cool

Hi,
The stronger control arms and poly bushings will give a very slightly firmer ride, much better control on corners and braking.
I would recomend getting control arms with grease fittings in the bushings, as poly bushings squeek without grease, or you can take them out every year and grease them.

Perry.
