At your weight your p/w ratio is 3.5-mine is 4.8. At 500 pounds less, that's like adding 100+ HP. With Nittos or M/T's you can easily run 10.3's all day.

You should do that Dude...
Only pointing out the weight discrepancy, due to Patrick's inadequate estimates, because I kinda like picking on Patrick. That's all.

I just pulled the results of the "weigh day" we had three years ago. With me not in the car, the weight was 2651 with a half tank of gas and the top and a small satchel of tools in the trunk. Had I known yours would tun out to be a pound lighter I would have drained my tank that morning.

EDIT -- The official chart says I was 2653. I could have still beat you had I just had one less gallon of gas in the car.

Aluminum flywheel.

With the heavier Pond block (had a 390 stroker in it before) my cobra weighs approx. 2.750 lbs. A Pond aluminum block would be very nice, but with historical registration here in germany not the way to go.

As Rodknock noted I had the Genesis iron block in my Kirkham. The only problem I had with it was the screw in freeze plugs didn't seal up the first time and dribbled a little. Mine was a 468 because I got it as a package deal with the block and it ran great. No complaints at all.
