Chas, I was going to ignore it, but since you brought it up....

My car weighs 2,128 lbs. I'm willing to bet that Patrick's car is more than > 10% heavier than mine.

Patrick was right when he said that I run Yokos though.

Rod,
NEVER ignore a BS attempt when you see one...

My car is 2650 wet-his is at least that (I'm being charitable) with an extra bar, heavier wheels and tires and "tons of aluminum" as he blathers (missing the oxymoron).

At your weight your p/w ratio is 3.5-mine is 4.8. At 500 pounds less, that's like adding 100+ HP. With Nittos or M/T's you can easily run 10.3's all day.

You should do that Dude...

Only pointing out the weight discrepancy, due to Patrick's inadequate estimates, because I kinda like picking on Patrick. That's all.

I just pulled the results of the "weigh day" we had three years ago. With me not in the car, the weight was 2651 with a half tank of gas and the top and a small satchel of tools in the trunk. Had I known yours would tun out to be a pound lighter I would have drained my tank that morning.

EDIT -- The official chart says I was 2653. I could have still beat you had I just had one less gallon of gas in the car.

Well, if I had one of those plastic distributor gears instead of bronze, then I might have been able shave off another oz. too. Darn it.

Well, you've got 500 lbs and maybe 100 horses on me. You'd have to strip that distributor gear for me to catch you....

My Daytona Coupe weighs less than your car with me in it. Under 2400 without me. So there.
