Default insulating headers

any success in wraping them instead of ceramic coating them. I've been running the car with out either and noticed the the foot box has some cracks in the gel coat from the heat on the pass side. which will keep the headers cooler?

The rap will keep it cooler but it also holds mosture so it will overtime rust your herders.

very Freudian, raping your herders,.......might sound better if you were talking about wrapping your headers

I've also causes thermal fatigue in the metal over a period of time. I've seen it removed after being on for several years and the metal had several cracks underneath that were not there prior to putting it on.

I agree with Bob. I insulated my foot box and the whole transmission tunnel and it made quite a difference. I have seen headers that were wrapped and they had cracks and rust spots on them.
