Default Jesel and T&D are the best for racing

Cobrarkc Rich I think PRW makes Shelby rocker arms. Not 100% sure. Here's the thing, You are paying about 20% more for the same rockers because of the LOGO. You gave no specs on the motor. Size of camshaft lift, valve spring close and open pressure, max rpms looking to turn. Over build the motor, YES. You didn't say which rocker you are looking at? Stainless steel or Aluminum. Bushing or bearing pivot?
Heres the best and working down, Jesel and T&D. None better, down side machine work may need to be done to heads for installation. Harland/Sharp company been around for 50+years. Believe they build in house. You have Crower and Isky after this with PRW. Can't answer you on Scorpions, Proform, Summit, jegs, or Comp. I think Dove etches there logo on the rocker they make and sends them out in bulk. I have seen this visiting Dove.
Which ever rocker you go with do a test for the correct pushrod length and centering the rocker on the the valve stem. Smith Brothers will make pushrods to any spec and have a 72 hour turn around. Top maker, have run 3 sets in different motors. Work great.
You left out 1 thing, oiling system, any modes done, HVHP oil pump. LImiters in the system, extra oil supply lines internal? Per oiler? Larger oil pan 7-8 quarts. All this is important too. Per oiler and running an oil suppliment with clinging agent to stop dry startups. Little more info would help. Rick L.

You mean these? They are circa 1999, so not sure what they are using now.

I have those, roller tip, bushing at the pivot. Had to send them to shelby when I bought the car (2001) and they would not tell me who made them. Still using them, they seem to be working just fine so far.

Mine are still working fine too. (knocking on wood). Never could figure out who made them. Mike LeFevers at Mitech would probably know. He was the engine builder for CS back then.
Earl J likes this.

if i remember correctly the rockers were made by a medical device company.
not an engine parts manufacturer....i think they were made out of 17-4
PH stainless. and heat treated.
the name of the company escapes me right now

In 2004, I received my Shelby built motor and at that time they told me that they had recently switched the supplier of the shaft mounted rocker arms. This came out in a conversation when I met with them discussing the build componenets. They claimed that they had rocker arm failures. As a result, they started using T&D. Mine are not anodized blue and are just a natural finish. I have had no issues to date.

My build sheet which was supplied by Shelby lists that they are T&D rockers.

My build sheet from CS Engines just lists them as "Shelby Stainless Roller Rockers" for $1,120. That was in 2001.

Default FEMax roller rocker info

I got my FEMax stainless steel roller rockers from Gary at 1-530-378-1075. They are working quite well for my requirements. Don't know if this number is still good, but it is worth a try.

Shelby had a company named Rocker Arm Specialists from Anderson, CA make those rockers. They were investment cast stainless steel rockers that were bushed with a roller tip and were engraved with the Shelby Logo & 427 on the backbone.

That company is now in Redding, CA and is known as Rocker Arms Unlimited.

They never sold direct to consumers as they were building the rockers for Shelby. Shelby may have other companies build rockers at some point, these guys built the original ones.

While you won't be able to buy rockers from them, as least you know where they came from. If you find some...buy them....you won't have any issues.
