Default 428 FE Flywheel/Bellhousing Cover

Mine is missing - thinking I need one just in case.

So, having trouble finding one - need the cover and bolts.

Any input will be appreciated.

Smile clutch inspection cover

my buddy just bought a new one from one of the Mustang Unlimited for $80. It is called a clutch inspection cover. I think the bolts are 5/16" grade five and you can buy them at the hardware store.
We had to paint it.

Thanks Dwight I was trying to remember the name as that is key for finding them. I had looked on e-bay but no luck till I knew what it was called.
Try some junkyards.
They are getting a little hard to find and consequently a bit pricey but here is one.

A hundred eighty dollars!
I think I'll buy a few and paint them gold not black.
I ask a local car buddy if he had any and he replied yes and $20 would buy one. Tom had already ordered one online so we waited till UPS ran.

Thanks to all - purchased one for $64 from west coast classic cougar, plus bolts $4.00.

They call it "bellhousing inspection cover" - it's interesting that the name for this part is all over the map with the part missing on a lot of cars. It's probably not really needed, but there is a huge price to pay if something is sucked up the housing.
