Well...... I planned for it to be your prime-time show during the build of the engine. After the build, it would become my show. However, I allowed a flippant left-field comment from Oz-land to irritate me.

I meant no ill.

I've have your tunnel wedge K&N filter thread open on permanent view for quick referencing. I like how you've set them up.
I noticed the change in your details as per rodneym.

I put 2 & 2 together... And took a blindish stab...
Normally when I do this, I get 5... Not 4.
So I thought, rather than blatantly asking, I'd go fish...

Sorry.

Regarding the build; it will be an engine I've wanted for a number of years for a number of reasons.

I remember the first time I hit WOT in my Cobra back in 1994. Although the engine dynoed at 411 horsepower, the performance was less than I anticipated. Gradually I upgraded engine parts to increase power. At the 4th cam, a roller, I found I enjoyed spinning the engine way above 6,000 rpm, and an FE at 7,000 rpm is an incredible sound. However, some of the parts I chose over the years weren't quite matched to my driving style and I had some mechanical failures. Road racing will help you find an engine's weak point. Ask me how I know.

In May of this year I found a minor mechanical issue that could have become a big problem had I not discovered it early. It was at this time I considered retirement of the existing engine and replacement with a new 'moder'. Subsequently I removed a lot of exterior engine pieces from the 20 year old engine and forwarded those to Brent for use on the new engine. I sold the old engine as a short block.

Brent was a good sounding board during my several talks with him. I've asked him to construct a 'purpose-built' engine that will handle my occasional foray into the 7,500 rpm range. I am looking forward to the new one.

I think a 496 FE needs a good exhaust so I found an excellent craftsman and now a friend, who modified my old side pipes. He installed Classic Chambered 3" i.d. powersticks. My neighbors probably won't send me Thank You notes.
