Default dipstick on an Aviad pan

Got the rear main seal fixed (see the Kirkham forum) with only one casualty...my dipstick (sounds like something from "Car Tallk") leaks at the pan juncture, where I think the coupler has failed. Can i just use a piece of rubber hose to mate the dipstick to the Aviad pan's orifice? thanx s

Sure do. If your dipstick tube is the same diameter as the Aviaid’s nipple which is 3/8”, a tubing 3/8” union is the connection part. The union in my photo was bought at Home Depot.

Steve,
You should fit oil hose in place of the fuel hose.
I would still rather run all metal in the tube, your dipstick will wear the inside of the hose. Where does that end up?
