Judging from what Greenwater said I would tend to think that Michael is correct. If you have a reverse rotation speedo, you need the adapter that attaches to the back of the speedometer. Without such adapter, the cable will turn in the direction it normally would for a standard speedo- which, of course, would be the wrong direction for a reverse speedo.
