CF27,

With no malice intended......The 352 is a dog,...I wouldnt waste much $ or time with it . The blocks are all the same (sorta) So if you decide to bolt on some gear, you will be able to use it on a 390 or 428 when you get frustrated

Hi Chris,
The biggest drawback to the 352 is the tiny (for a big block) 4.00"
bore (same as a 289).
This small bore severely limits the cylinder head choices because the larger valves are shrouded or will actually hit the cylinder wall.
Some 352 blocks can be bored to 390 size if they are sonic checked first. It would be cheaper and easier to keep the orignal 352 under the bench and find a 390, or if you're lucky, a 428. Then put your money in either onr of those. It will cost just about the same to build a 428 as it would to build a 352.
