Default Head Gaskets..Copper vs Composite

Gentlemen; I need some advice on the best head gaskets to use on an Iron 427 block and Edelbrock alum heads.I like the idea of using Copper gaskets but I have heard of "Electrolisis" happening, and that leads to corrosion issues. What do you guys think??. Also I would like to aquire a serpintine pulley setup for my Engine.....Anyone you know make em??.Thanks for your time....Mike Schulz B.C Canada.

Mike, copper gaskets are great for high maintenance drag racing engines, but I don't think they have a place on the street. As for brand-specific 427 gaskets, I couldn't help you there...

I used them on my BB Chebby and had no problems whatsoever,I like to hear of other Enthusiasts experiences so I may "build it right" the first time. After all...Knowlege is Power!!

The Felpro #1020 seems to be the gasket of choice for most FE street cars. I've used this gasket many times with no problems.
The only problem I have had running copper gaskets on the street is occasionally I've had minor external coolant seepage. Not bad, and it would come and go.
