Default Fuel Log for Sidewinder Intake!

Need some help guys as I've looked everywhere I know and can't seem to come up with one. I'm looking for an original style fuel log for the Sidewinder intake. Cobra Restorers use to handle them but not any more. I figure someone out there should be making them. I'm surprised to see everyone making repro fuel logs for 3x2 and 2x4 applications but not single 4V. Don't understand it. Anyway check out the picture link below. The one for the Sidewinder is at the bottom of the picture.

Thumbs up

Several months ago I wanted something similar for a single 4BBL but could not find one so I fabed one up. Pic in my gallery. Not too difficult. Need lathe to make the end caps. Lower installed height is to allow use of my particular air filter assy.

Gary,

Once again, give George at Gessford a call. He also sells a Baldwin desiged log that is very classy.

Thanks guys but I know about all the aftermarket ones and I have the Baldwin prototype on my desk....I'm polishing it out for James to use on his new car. What I'm looking for are the "original" looking ones that come in that yellow zinc color. Not looking for the billet look or braided line setup. I'm really looking for the yellow zinc looking originals.

Gary,

You might try:
Motorsports International
619-390-9080

I've got their catalog at home, I'll look tonight. But, you might try and call them.

David

That fuel log that you Gary is polishing is the one that Matt Tice bought from George a couple of years ago. Matt decided to put those darn Weber things on his car and opted not to go with this classy fuel delivery system George sells... Gary, don't tell me that you are going to follow in Matt's troubled ways and not use the beauty of billet??!

Tony,
I can't take all the credit for that design, George just helped me adapt his two carb version to make a one carb version with me acting as the guinea pig.

Thanks Bob....I placed the call. They are out of stock right now but expect more in 2 weeks. He did not have a picture of it to tell if this was the one I'm looking for but maybe it will be. The one I want is the bottom one. Centerline of mounting hole to centerline of mounting hole is 4 1/2". It mounts to the 2nd and 3rd bolt hole from the back forward.

Gary
