Valve Covers For 427 So ???

Well I am pleased to announce I have just received my "finished"
427 SO back from Koffel's Place in Huron, Ohio. Dyno'd 528 HP
@ 5800 RPM, Peak Torque 516 Lbs. Ft. @ 4800 RPM--should be a nice street motor.
The engine is going into an ERA car (Turk's old baby!) I need recommendations on valve covers.
The engine has Comp Cams Roller Rockers.
I like the looks of the "cast" COBRA 427 covers but realize the chrome "Pentproof" are more correct.
Does one offer additional valve train clearance over the other?
Are they all the same or does one vendor offer better quality versions than another? ( I have seen them on T Branda's site as well as Holman-Moody).
I planned to run a PVC valve in one cover and an oil fill/breather
in the other----is this the way to go?
Any good valve cover gaskets that you recommend?

You pretty much have to choose. I prefer the aluminum. although I will attest to Turks car having been delivered with pent roof. Anything less would only be a replica of Turks car.

I like these since they are solid and stop leaks. Gessford machine made them.

cork gaskets , glue (silicone)on the cover side , grease on the engine side ( this way you can remove them)

Can we ask how much for the CSX valve covers??? Sans signature of course.

George at gessford will put anything you want on them, ERA, SPF, 427 SO......... They are really nice and I think they run around $600.
