Mike I was looking at this very thing for my small block early this week, but reconsidered what I was doing before I completed it. I was needing something for 8.5-9mm wires. I found some 8mm separators at Pep Boys but they were intended for a tab that was about 1" long which is shorter than the tabs originally installed on the valve covers. I think that Ford themselves may offer some plastic separators for 8mm wires as it apears that I have accumulated 1 in my collection.

Default What I do

With 8 mm wires, I take a 5/16 cutter in a dremel, not a stone, it just makes a melty-mess and a drill will break the piece. And open each hole in a stock Ford one. It wont go bigger than that there isnt enough meat, but 8 mm works well.
