I had to replace the stock one on my 1969 428SJC about 6 months ago and I used an Edelbrock aluminum one. So far so good.

Edelbrock waterpump for 351W works just fine.

The install required clearancing for SFI crank balancer and power steering pump.

I've got a high volume polished Edelbrock pump on my 351 stroker. It seems to do the job quite well, though a bit expensive.

After a good hard ride.....oil pressure is over 50, temp is below 190, she idles and no new dents. LIFE IS GOOD!
