ScottyC The answer to your question is maybe. How much tork and HP is your motor putting out?? What are you goinbg to do with your car? Drag race, show car, cruiser, autocross? What gear ratio is in the rear? Why a 5 speed and not 4 or 6? The nash 5 speed is good for 450 hp and 450 tork of the motor. What tires are you going to run? You may want to good with a G-Force, price 6G? Trans is good for 1khp and 1200 lbs of tork. Scott fill in the blanks before you go any farther. David Kee makes strong 4 speeds that will take 7-800 hp no problem. Rick Lake

My Cobra has a 427 that puts out average hp for an fe motor, 400 at the rear wheels. I have a Tremec TKO II 5-speed trans and have had no trouble at with it. The only thing I don't like about it besides the clunky shifting is the very low first gear. You wind the engine up pretty fast in first.

Jack, if it's 400 RWHP, then add 20% to that figure for the number at the flywheel. That's what the trannie has to deal with.

TKO 500 or TKO 600. The 500/600 represents max torque capacity. G.

Exclamation TKO 600

Many of us are going with the new TKO 600 5 speed. They offer 2 versions with different final gear ratios. Check them out!

Default 'Search'

'Search & you will find the truth'
There is some good info on the web about them just 'google' "TKO 600".
Also, search this board, there have been several threads.
