Default Headers - who and where...

OK - I am getting into an interesting project.

I need to know who makes headers for 427 Cobra cars.

Which ones would also fit an original chassis?

Does anybody make headers that go underbody as opposed to the traditional sidepipe configuration?

Does anybody have pictures?

E-Mail me or drop a response here.

Thanks!

Headers for Cobras are only brand specific or custom fabed.

Default Barry,

Tubular Automotive in Mass. makes the header pipes, and possibly the mild steel sidepipes for ERA.
Don't know if they fit originals.

The number is 781-878-9875. They will do any type car. They do "headers on the car" which is hard to find these days. You bring the car in, drop it off and they fabricate to fit the vehicle. I spoke to them a couple of weeks ago and as I recall, it was $800 or $900. for plain, uncoated headers.

Kooks Custom Headers & Exhaust (866-586-5665) will also make up headers "custom fit" to the car. However, he has a backlog up to August, so get a ticket and wait in line. And bring your wallet. He started around $1600+.
