manifold oil filler tubes?

My baffeled oil filler tube sticks up about 4 inches out of the intake manifold. Is this tipicle? the top of the tube is lower than the valvecover. Makes using any funnel a job . Either the funnel is so small that only small amounts are added a a time and drains slowly or larger funnels are tipped and unstable with only the tips in the funnel. I have a new Motorcraft EC 10 cap that won't fit next to the alluminum valvecover.

Yes, 4" - 4 1/8" appears to be standard.

That is typical. Filling fron that tube sucks. I am going to check my 64 tbird
and see what the baffle looks like compared to the after market one on my Cobra. Use the Chrome MR. Gasket breather cap. The Stock Ford valve covers are shorter than the pentroofs.
Or change the valve covers so you can fill it from them.

Mic the outsiide of the tube and get a piece of exhaust pipe that matches.
Make your own baffle and weld in place then cut to length, Pant and there you have it.
