I read this thread before and was thinking about it the other day.Besides the few missing washers on the rocker shaft,I would guess that the valve lash was set way too loose. If it is so loose the rocker could jump the pushrod and come off the way they did.This would mean that there is really nothing seriously wrong??? other than incorrectly lashed rockers??
