Default Anyone familiar with the Shelby Roller FE rocker setup?

In examining a set of Shelby's new roller rocker assemblies, I'm somewhat confused over how the oil gets to the rockers. The shaft stand/bolt on each head that normally is used to get the oil from the holes in the heads to the rocker shafts does not appear to be drilled to allow the oil to travel up and through to the rockers. Is there enough room around the studs to allow it to travel up the stand? The block's a solid lifter, with shell lifters. These rockers don't use hollow stem pushrods. What am I missing?

I beleive they are fed the same. Not much room is needed to get the oil past.
I'm using Ersons and all holes are drilled the same and all studs are the same.
There's pletty of oil getting up there. I also am using .090 restrictors

I've used the Shelby rockers for about 7,500 miles. Yes the oiling occurs around the stud.

I like the sturdiness of this system. I'd purchase it again if the need arises.

I had a set of stainless rockers, made by the manufacturer of the Shelby Rockers. I had trouble with them. Push rods kept popping out. However their were other issues going on in the motor at the time.

Default Question for 601HP

601HP - I also have a set and would purchase them again. Question, do you have hydraulic or solids ? If hydraulics, did you adjust to 1/2 or 3/4 of a turn ? When your running, do they sound like a sewing machine, or are they completely quiet ?

Solid roller lifters. They make a little noise. I was somewhat surprised how infrequently I have to adjust the valve lash. Maybe a characteristic of the roller lifter, though.

Thanks for the replies.

There is some "slop" (play) in the stud/stand clearance, but not much. The stock bolt in this location has sort of an hourglass shape to allow oil up past it to the rockers. Upon looking closer, the Shelby piece apparently has enough clearance to allow for proper oiling. Just checking so I don't have a problem later on. I'll be sure to check oil pressure to ensure oil is getting up there. I think a lot of FE builders recommend what would seem to be extreme oil pressures (100 PSI +/-). Maybe one reason why.....

I agree, the system appears plenty sturdy. If it works as well as it looks, it'll be fine.
