Default switch from small block to FE in a Superformance

My friend Richard has a Superformance and wants to make the switch from a 351 small block to a FE 428 Big Block.

The motor will be stroked. He still needs to build it.

He wants to know what parts are needed to make the swap. Currently the transmission is a 5 speed. Not sure if it’s a TKO with internal hyd. throwout bearing.

Header… where do you purchase them?

Motor mounts?

Bell housing, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate.

Starter?

He will of course need an FE to TKO bellhousing. If he wants to use the transmission as is, then he will need to use a bellhousing spacer or use a Quicktime bellhousing. The Tremec has a Toploader mounting pattern, but the input shaft is longer.

Depending on what clutch setup he has, he can reuse the components if they're in good condition. I sell FE flywheels with an 11" pattern, so if his clutch is an 11" Long pattern, he can reuse it.

If he has a hydraulic throw out bearing, he can reuse it as well. If the bearing is fork actuated, then he will need a longer clutch fork for the wider FE bellhousing.

I sell all of the above parts and will provide any info/support that he needs throughout the swap process.
