Default expansion tank

did they make expansion tanks in different heights? Mine is about 2.5" to tall and the hood won't close. It extends out past where the scoop ends.

SS, the short answer is yes they did. However, don't hold out to find one that'll fit with no mods unless you are buying a custom like the ones the Kirkham brothers are making($$). I bought mine off of evil bay for a decent price then had a radiator shop here in town reverse the tank and cut it down almost 3" for me. It now fits great and the total cost to me was about $105. Hope that helps.

Southern Automotive (vendor here) can custome make you one to the specs you require as they did mine. There was no tank off the shelf that fit my application, billet aluminum, stainless steel, brass or otherwise.. no matter what mfr.

I have an extra stainless steel FE expansion tank made by Superformance. It's new (still in the box), powdercoated black. Let me know which dimensions to check for comparison to yours. If it will work I'll make you a good deal.
