Mark, ( is this correct ? )

We are the European distributor for Accuform ( was Dynatech and Dynaformance ) and as such we have probably fitted and commissioned more of these kits than anyone else.
The injectors do not come in at 90 deg, they use the long plastic EV6 injectors which reach from just about the underside of the top plate to just above the butterfly. Not sure of the angle but it is fairly accute and when the butterflys are open inject more or less straight down the port, the angles are slightly differant from one half of the TB to the other as getting everything installed under the top plate is a bit tight and the injectors have to be angled away from each other.
In practical terms none of these compromises seem to matter much, we get great results and even pass our quite strict Cat tests with our kits

If you need any more info let me know, Mike

Yes... it is Mark.

Thank you for the info. Has the price of the TBs changed any since Accuform has taken over? I am running 48 IDAs today and was considering swapping them out. Any pictures of the injector setup you can share? I wonder why they did not go with a down flow injector from the top? Maybe they did not what people to see the injector in the velocity stack.

Thanks!
Mark

Hi Mike,

Are there any improvements being made or planned in the future for the "old" Dynatek EFI system, at least in terms of the FE? Last I had heard, the old setup required a lot of work to dial in properly.

I think it's great that Accuform has decided to chim into ClubCobra website. I know the GT40s Forum could also use information and a person for Q&A.

First, let me make it plain, I am not Accuform, I/we are Huddart Engines from the UK and we are the distributor for Accuform for all non USA / Canada sales for their Classic Injection kits.

However we have installed quite a few of these kits now and we have had a good input into the improvements that have/ are being made.
The manifolds for both the FE and SB Fords are new and improved, the old ones needed various minor machining jobs to fit properly. Extra vacuum ports have been added for things like IAC control, MAP sensors, brake booster etc, plus they will customise any manifold, something that just would not have been considered by the previous owners.
The FE manifold is available in both the original angled TB set up and now straight.
Similarly the SB can now be had angled.

A completely redesigned throttle linkage is now standard, previously balancing the TBs was a nightmare, involving slotting throttle linkage levers and other fun things, it could take all day. Now you just turn a screw. The throttle bodies did not line up with each other so nothing fitted properly. The old linkage was so bad that one side opened at a differant angle to the other.

The old throttle bodies were not assembled well and leaked a lot of air, Accuform now have a flow bench to individually check each one.

They are considering offering a 50mm version TB but I think that would depend on how much demand.

I seem to have gone on a bit much here but if anybody does need more info, please ask,
Mike

Mike,

Great info. Go on as much as you want. The website is much better than the old one as well. I can now really see how the thing works. Thanks again.

Now I just need to coin for it.

Dimis,
I did get your PM and have got your pricing. I have sent two PMs but neither appear to have gone, there is a problem at my end. Could you PM a proper e.mail address please and I can get the prices to you.

Mark,
the website is essentially the old one with a couple of add ons and in another colour but there will be a new spiffy one coming shortly.

Mark,
as far as I know the prices are as they were before, the company is hard at it improving the product so it is easier to maintain the same prices. You will have to get in touch with Accuform to get their retail prices, go to Classic Injection and get the contact details. Tell them I sent you !

The whole point of the kit is they look EXACTLY the same as a Weber 48 IDA so a top mounted injector would, I think, look a bit odd !
