Anyone running the INGLESE stack EZ-EFI system? If so i'd like to hear pro and cons of this system.

We just shipped our first car with it. The issue we faced is they based this
System off a standard 351w Weber intake. This meant there was no way to run a loop on the front of the fuel rails because it hits the distributor. We managed to get around this by capping the rails. Calls to Inglese (actually Comp now) were not that helpful.
I think the system is evolving. The FAST EZ EFI seems great, and the car gets better with every mile driven.
If it means anything we have a ride along video on our YouTube channel...

Thanks Cashburn. I was told to use a Mallory series 32 small diameter distributor. Did you try that dist.?, or did you use the normal diameter distributor and just cap the rails?

I have the system on a CAV GT-40. 302 SB (bored and stroked to 363ci). There is no size of distributor that would allow you to loop the rails on the front. Because of the bundle of snakes we had to improvise on the loop in the back.
Comp Cams help line is not particularly helpful.
I'll try to find or take a better photo to show just how tight it is.

Just wondering....has anyone tried going with a crank triggered ignition to eliminate the distributor completely (I saw one post where someone used coil packs placed over the valve covers....is that crank triggered?)?

Stephan & all... I've decided a XFI injection system for my 347 (8- stack or 4- barrel; I've not settled yet!) and I've been using the resources at Comps tech forum alot. Go here for XFI tech forum: FAST Product Support - CPG Nation Forum
You will also find tech articles, news, updates etc. here.
To be honest I have to say that the Inglese and Fast XFI catalogues/ tech info is rather disapointing. Here's the list of information I have not found in the catalogues/ tech pages:
Diameter of distributor shaft (to get other gear types)
Bolt diameter on stack flange on 8- stack 50mm IDA TB's (as I think the cost of 440$ for a set of stacks is rather steep)
Distance between the ends of the fuel rail (to figue if a U aluminum tubing can be used)
If the appropiate fuelrail fittings are included and what's the AN size of the fuel in/fuel out? (to plan regulator setup & parts needed)

The car is def getting better as time goes on. I have about 300 miles on it so far. Throttle is awesome. Haven't had any mishaps to speak of.

Is there a big difference in performance between sealing the stacks off to the hood (for more air) than not? My COBRA is going to be road driven but I am interested in road/drag racing but not so much in competition with other drivers but the chance to experience higher speeds in a safe/legal environment.

Depends what your hood air inlet looks like. There are many that have a reverse flow out ouf the hood scoop. Obviously this will not have the affect you want.

I went distriutorless on a SBF with coil packs over the valve covers. Works great. Exhaust sounds different. I slid the unit in front of the Cobra's EFI and I will be able to run the loop between the rails without interference. See my long post on Texas Cobra Club forum.

You could also go with the Ford EDIS8 distributerless ignition, my old setup was FI with the ignition and had no problems. You can mount it lower so you can fit everything. I might have picture somewhere.

Hi guys,
I just finished to upgrade my Roush427R with a Inglese 8-stack-system with a FAST XFI ECU. I agree : hotline is not very helpfull !
So is there anyone of you who may could help me in some cases and may answer some small questions...? I live in germany and there are not many people who know this system....I would be happy to get any help....Thanks, Stephan
