Default Go Kart Outing

Last night the Great Lakes Cobra Club did some indoor go kart racing at Kart2kart. It is a 1/4 mile, 10 curve indoor go kart course racing 5.5 hp go karts (a little over 35 mph max speed) with full racing tracking systems. I believe that 13 club members actually drove and a number of others watched. There were lots of smiles and fun. For many of us, it was our first time racing go karts indoors. Laps times dropped rapidly for those doing it for the first time. Some of the vets had very good lap times. The best racers averaged over 30 mph -- very good with all the tight turns.

Any of you more interested in details about the track can get it at www.kart2kart.com/

The next outings for the club include a swap meet and going to the Detroit Autorama. Some club members, including myself, will have cars in the show.

Indoor track?? Wow, I guess you gotta do that up North. Go-Karts are such a hoot. Always better with a bunch of friends along to!
