Question ReChrome

I've been looking for a "shop" that will re-chrome some parts for me. As some of you may know, storing a custom car in a detached garage (in Michigan) can be a real challenge, to say the least. I've stored my car this way since 1998. Typically when temps vary 20 to 30 degrees, especially in the Spring, condensation becomes ones worst enemy. I'm already doing the "cardboard/carpeting/light bulb" thing, but still experience some corrosion that needs attention. I'm delivering the car for body/paint next week and want to have a few items "spruced up" a little. I live in Southeast Michigan, commonly known as the "East Side". . . near I-94 and I-696 interchange. I've looked in the Yellow pages, contacted several plating shops and find that they either don't do chrome plating or have a 16 week delivery. Perhaps someone in this club or on this message board can recommend a place to have this work done.

Any/All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Thanks for all the replies!!!!

Anyway, I found a place in Waterford called:

ABC Custom Chrome
3370 Warren Dr. (Near Dixie & Williams Lake Rd.)
Waterford, MI 48329
(248)674-4333

After removing the surface corrosion with 3M "Micro Finish", I found that the articles didn't need to be rechromed afterall.

Regards,
