I came up with 2930 lbs. Plus 50 in the front, 1440 R, 1490 F.

Wow

that seems pretty heavy. You always hear people talking about the Cobra being a 2k pound car with so much horsepower. I wonder how many of them actually make the effort to weigh it like you did?

As I mentioned in an earlier thread, my EM started life as a SCCA race car. The builder told me he had ordered a special light weight body from EM. I had it weighed at the SCCA track at Roebling Road and it originally came in at just over 2,500 pounds with a half tank of gas and no driver. Since then I did a complete rebuild in an effort to further lower and rebalance the corner weights. When I finished it weighed in at about 2,450 pounds with 48% front and 52% rear. My engine is now a 410 ci stroked Windsor with aluminum heads.

Mine weighed in at 2550 lbs. with the 302 and toploader. A little heavier than expected. I would think the new bodies will weigh less, now that they are hand layup. Mine was made when they were still using the chopper gun method.

I was a bit surprised. I was guessing app 2,500. However a full tank of gas, FE motor and Corvette C3 rear..... It sure drives light as far as the gas pedal!

In the original EM brochures they listed the weight as 2500 and change for a small block. This is one of the heaviest kits on the market.
