I have the metal frames and pre-cut plexiglass to make side windows for my SB. I may never actually use them but I'm looking for instructions of how to assemble them. Do I need to use felt lined U channel for the plexi-glass? Is vinyl used to cover the frame or simply painted? Anyone here have them for their car?

The U-channel is for the plexiglass,the frames are painted,there should be a strip of vinyl a little over and inch wide long enough to do both frames where they contact the top of the door. Drilling the door for the frame pins is a pain getting the ferrels set so the frames drop in will have you scratching your head. You also have the leather straps that secure the frames to the doors to install.Once done you will be happy you put up with the frustration.

Have to say installing these frames on the doors was one of the most agonizing parts of the build as was installing all the pins in the body for the soft top. It still was worth all the pain in the end. The car is a joy to drive with the top and windows especially in very cool weather.It gets very toasty in the cockpit even with the heat off.
Personally love the sounds without the wind beating me up.
