Just took a look at your videos. I am digging your solution to mocking up the header pipes. I recently had to replace a side was very much a PIA.

The header solution was going good until the professional welder somehow misaligned them. They are way off now, so I am trying to come up with another solution.

I fought the issue of rebuilding a header for a while. Wound up going with FFR side pipes like you. But constanly fought alignment of header pipe issues. But it was nothing enough heat couldnt fix. In hindsight I would have went with the slip fit headers and sidepipes.

I picked mine up from a builder probably twice my age. His health was giving him trouble and as I can tell, so was his craftsmanship. Anyhow, he was building some sort of stock 302 mommy wagon so we stripped everything down to the frame, including sandblasting, and started from scratch (after we torched and rewelded the frame straight). That was 7 months ago. Today I'm in-between primer coats and hoping to be able to drive it this summer.

New to the group, just picked mine up from the Mecum auction in Houston. I have been looking for awhile and this one caught my eye. Going thru it now and fixing a few small issues, but love the car.
