Beastly

I would appreciate your thoughts on a hybrid 427/FIA paint scheme I am seriously considering.

After much body work such as widened rear fenders 2 inches, front flares 1 inch and repairing a few other issues. I have the opportunity to do something a little different. I saw this ERA that had a unique paint job and am thinking of giving it the ultimate compliment-copying it!!!

I am only waiting on weather to put the car in primer and start final sand, I have already painted the car in my mind lots of times !What are your thoughts or have you seen something else cool-I am weighing all options short of pinstripes and goldleaf.

The way I have always felt your car your canvas.Bottom line has to be your satisfaction with the end result.When I first started building cars from the ground up back in the 70's it was all about the outward appearance of the car the first expensive paint job was on a body off restored 68 Vette.Loved the look but was never comfortable leaving the car because of so many who do not appreciate our hobby.From then on and to this day it is all about performance and handling.The satisfaction levels are always off the charts for me now with all my builds.Our Cobra totally satisfies my aggressive driving habits and occasional racing.

Well after much input and some great insight from others I have made my decision. Should be in paint in just a few more days will post pics of the final product....I am hoping to have it ready for Texas cobra meet in San Marcos on 1 April.

OK after much indecision I decided to go with Spectra Mica Blue with a pure/pearl white stripe, will be spraying all weekend. No other stripes/gumballs. Really want to finish this and get the car on the road.
