Hello All,
It appears that I only have one of two lower brackets for the hood and trunk stays to attach to. On figure 4-23 of page 4-24 in my CMC manual, it shows the lower brackets, one for the hood and one for the trunk. The question, are both brackets the same? If they are then I can make a second to match. My one bracket is 1/4" thick by 2 1/4" wide L shape with legs measuring 3 1/4" and 1 3/4" long. The 1 3/4" leg has 3 holes that are 1/4" diameter holes. Thanks. Harry

Just looked at mine realized I never like the sliding hood stay so I fabbed up a 3/8" rod with my own bottom bracket and spring clip for the top. Where the rod goes into the hood made up a stainless estucheon.

Hello mdross1,
Could you post a photo or two of your hood/trunk stay rods and brackets? The rod stays appears to be a better style than the chunky sliding stays, in my mind. Thanks. Harry

For some reason I cannot post pictures to this message I can however post to the club forum. The bottom bracket is bolted to the drivers side inner fender, the 3/8" rod is long enough to reach up to the middle of the hood. When ready to close the hood the stay rod has a U shaped clip mounted to the top of the footwell it looks very neat.

Hello ziggy75,
The brackets that I'm asking about are the lower attach brackets used to mount the sliding rod mechanisms that holds up the hood and trunk when open.
