It looks like I will need to look for different gauges. Photobucket is down so my images are not showing up in this posting. Also, I do not have any headlight knobs. Not sure if the SB kit would have included this. I went with an IDIDIT column so I will need to source a switch for that as well. Does the SB kit come with a fresh air setup? I see some cobras have a knob (pull) for fresh air. I see the lucas style toggle switches online. Man... some of this stuff is very pricey!

My source of information came from looking at original Cobra's dash layouts. During that time bought all my switches, indicator lights, steering wheel, shifter, emergency brake levers and all other original Cobra trinkets to finish out the cockpit area.

Have you looked at FinishlineAccessories for Cobra parts? Regarding drive shaft alignment, the truer you can align the better. If not, reduced power and more wear due to change in direction. Harry

I have looked at Finishline. This is where I will probably buy the Lucas toggle switches.

Do you guys have any pictures of your dash?

Also, as for alignment of engine, it should be centered within the frame rails, correct? It seems that the floor pan - firewall section does not appear to be centered either. I am referring to the inner area of this section and not the outer areas along edge of frame.

Hello ziggy75,
Reference your post 10/07/2016. Here's what I think I'd do at this point with trying to fit a NEW/different engine. Take your engine/tranny out. Center the body on the frame insuring fore and aft and side to side correct positioning. Will your firewall allow you to do this? With this accomplished, measure for engine position and height. Will the hood fit and firewall clearance TOO? Think about having a matched set of headers and pipes exiting the body cutouts equally and centered both sides. The measurement from engine head exhaust face to outside of body should be the same both sides. This may cause you to make custom engine mounts to fit. It will also center up the drive-line. I mounted the body onto the frame... at least somewhat. To answer part of my question about the alignment of the engine

I think it looks pretty close even though it shows it as being offside according to the frame rails.
