How much does a Street Beasts Cobra hood weigh?

I'll be starting an engine swap soon. One of the fist things to accomplish will be to remove the hood. How much does it weigh? Can two people adequately control it while removing the bolts and lifting it off the car? The last thing I want to do is bounce the hood off the front of the car and ruin the paint.

Two people should have no problem the hood is somewhat heavy. Lay a heavy blanket over the front of the car just in case.

40k Later, have you ever installed or removed your 460 from the Street Beasts engine compartment? Removing/installing the driver's side header bolts looks like a tough job with that big box in the way (the box enclosing the upper steering shaft).

Even with undercar exhaust had to take the headers off, just too little room to take a chance at least with my car.

I have taken the engine out to re-ring it after a few hits of nitrous. My header bolts are small diameter head 12 pt ARP bolts and I had to get under the car to take them off. Incidentally this is also how I take out #4 spark plug. Some owners have cut a hole on the inside of the car to reach it which works too. I'm always doing something to my car, mostly changing stuff or routing wiring or adding/changing something so jacking it up and sliding under there is not a big deal for me. The Crank pulley has to come off as it will hit the cross member.

Looking at a quick jack to make it quicker to get the car in the air. Was $800 a while back but now $1000

I'm one of those who cut a hole in the cowl to access #4 and adjust the clutch both are hidden. I never mind getting the car high enough to slide under for required maintenance. Just finished changing all the rubber hoses,fan belt, oil and antifreeze change etc. it was time car is 24 yrs. old. Always like to do a once over on all hardware.
