I just had my CMC corner scaled. Guy that weighed it asked my guess before and I had figured around 2400 lbs. I had battery in right rear corner and enough weight to equal 11 gallons sitting in center of trunk floor. Total weight was 2783.Side to side was 49.9 left/50.1%right. Front to back was 45.4% front, 54.6%rear. Guy said if my 302 had aluminum heads and I had a manual trans. (Instead of my AOD) I'd have been closer to my guess. I haven't had door panels or carpeting installed yet so its not completed weight but close enough. Anyone else had their car weighed? What're your numbers?

Hello DonB,
Who weighed your CMC? I do not know anyone with scales. Did you go to them or did they come to you? What was the charge for service. I'd like to get my CMC weighed so that I'm able to know what the recommended coil over suspension parts would be. Weighing the CMC would have to wait until next spring/summer. I would have thought that the weight was even less than 2400lbs. What do I know?

Harry, I searched and searched and then the body shop in Williamson, NY, Custom finishes, recommended a guy who used to build race cars who's from Macedon. I called him and he was a little leery but I explained I didn't have my car running yet and just wanted to have someone show up and corner weigh my car so I could order coilovers. He showed up with his father and I gave him $100. He drove 45 + mins each way and spent over an hour. Well worth it to get accurate figures.

Wow, I’m planning to swap to an aluminum-headed 302 eventually, so I’m curious to see how much closer I’ll get to the “ideal” numbers. Door panels, carpeting, and all the finishing touches definitely add weight, but it’s good to get a ballpark figure before it’s fully completed—kind of like in Geometry Dash Lite, where every precise jump and adjustment matters to reach the goal.
