I found this link on okieguys cobra.
They have a picture of some other manufacturer cobra on the cover page but they document a Streetbeast build
- Thought it may be helpful to those in the build process.

The Okie Guys is a great site for reference. The only thing they did that I wouldn't was to add 1" rectangle tubing over the frame, trying to solve a "body fit" problem. I saw a better fix by "cool cars & hot guitars" on YouTube, where he cuts a small pie slice on the rear frame, in the trunk area: problem solved.
He (Peter) has a fully documented build on YouTube. One thing I learned in the building of my SB is, if ONE has a problem in an area, they ALL have that same problem: it just depends on how you decide to fix it.

Fixed mine with custom cut biscuits drilled and tapped all holes,in case ever wanting to remove body from frame.Been 20 yrs and no cracks anywhere actually the car is very tight no squeaks or rattles. When mounting the bumperettes everything came out balanced which was a concern at first.
If I had not discovered forums would never have known of our unique problems building these cars.During the building phase dealing with customer service was the only hassle.Lucky for me always asked for one person he took care the few issues I had and got me all the parts and pieces that came with the kit.

mdross1, could you explain a little on how or what you used on the frame to lift body? i was thinking about buying some 1x3" tubing but am interested in what you did.

Hello ziggy75, I cannot find the Okieguys Cobra website any more either. Pete's Garage Youtube is building a Street Beast, but I can't seem to find anything regarding body raising off the frame within his Cobra project playlist. I seem to recall possibly using rubber shock absorb-er donuts as spacers where needed, I could be wrong. I'd need a lift to be able to check. There has not been much activity here in the forum for awhile, so I don't think that you've missed much. Good Luck. Harry

Thanks for your help Harry. If I recall, Pete ended up cutting the frame to allow the body to sit properly. Unfortunately, I am afraid my welding skills are not to par to make such a modification.
