KSC- Cobra

Everyone, I will be running a 302 crate motor (340hp) with a C6 transmission. I haven't been able to find a radiator for an automatic. Has anyone solved this problem? Some options are:

1) Have a custom radiator built, about $100 extra
2) Use the big block oil cooler to cool transmission fluid
3) Maybe use a Fox body Mustang factory radiator for an automatic, if it will fit.

Any ideas?

I may actually have one that the last builder of my kit was planning to use with an AOD trans. Do you have a photo or part number of what you're after?

Sorry, I do not have a picture or part number. I'm looking for either a radiator (for an automatic) that fits in the location provided by CMC or an oil cooler that I can adapt to fit.

The copy of the build manual I have, states that the '74 - '78 mustang II radiator is a bolt in affair with no mods necessary. I bet the radiator flanges are the proper width so that it bolts onto the two diagonal sections on the frame. A mustang II stock replacement rad. would have the trans fluid cooling line fittings on it.

I had a custom radiator built then mounted a B+M trans cooler across in front of the radiator up towards the top so it shouldn't be too visible unless you get right down and look up into the nose opening. Don

"tony laboy" is correct, the instructions do say that a 74-78 Mustang II radiator will fit. The problem is I cannot find a Mustang II V8 radiator anywhere. I believe the part number is D7ZZ8005B. I've had one company tell me they can make an aluminum after market radiator to OE specs for around $800. There's got to be something better out there. What type of radiator did everyone else use?

Ford Mustang II, 1977-78 V8 302 Radiator Cool Craft

Didn't realize how rare and pricey a V8 mustang II rad can be!! Take a look at this link. Looks like it should have what you need for less than $400.

BTW, I have a "Griffin" aluminum radiator in my cobra but it does not have trans fluid cooling capability.
