Hello guys
I don't say much on the forum
I will inform you I have all the jigs and fixtures from westcoast.
I am in the process of restarting westcoast in a way that will leave a good impression instead of the previous problems.
Vern is still in the background because i need to pick his brain about suppliers.
Vern still has the website up .The phone is no longer in service.
I don't want to start from scratch.
I will be dealing with any request on my own.
I don't want the westcoast to die a sad death.
Wcc is a awesome car but can use some updates.

I took delivery on my WCC on Friday (2 days ago) and have started work on getting it ready for safety inspection here in Saskatchewan. I can already see there will be things I will be looking at 'down the road' so, of course, I noted with great interest your post indicating you have the jigs and fixtures.

I wish you great success - there are a lot of West Coast and Kellison owners who would, could or should be interested in this.

BTW, there is a small group of Kellison Stallion owners at https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/...nstallion/info. If you don't want to join that group I can post your update there - just let me know.

congrats john, you have a large task moving forward i'm sure.
as cycleguy said we would certainly welcome you over at the kellison stallion group on yahoo, i moderate that site when i'm there and also handle the stallion registry. if there are suppliers that have been less than helpful as you move on, let me know as i have made some relationships with stallion suppliers of old to get the things i need for my car and others who have contacted me.
John where are you going to operate out of? what state?

John,
You and I discussed this opportunity when I visited you last year and inspected my car and I gave you my support at that time. It looks like you have followed up on your dream to keep this going and move it forward in your shop. Honestly, in my case you and I have unfinished business and I received the "Vern" treatment from both you and Vern regarding these issues. Not a good way to start "fresh" in my opinion. Frankly I have had a couple people interested in a kit purchase and did not push them to you or Vern due to these open issues. I sympathize with you regarding having to deal with what you had to deal with, and I commend your patience and your ability to continue this product is not questioned. You are good at what you do. Maybe we can sort out the remaining issues I documented, maybe we cannot. It is your decision. Feel free to contact me if you want, you have my contact information.

We need a new thread about questions for you John.
I would like to know if you have any parts for the soft top. A supplier? etc. I would like to put on a tonneou cover for parking overnight etc. and I'd like to also have a soft top for safety's sake on pop up thunderstorms.

Xack: I've been given the name of a local guy here who apparently does good work and is quite reasonably priced (e.g. $300 for replacing the fabric on a sports car convertible top). I haven't (yet) done business with him, but he was recommended to me by someone who restores British sports cars (e.g. TR6, MG Midget, Triumph Spitfire).

If you're interested PM me and I'll send you his contact info. If you decide to go ahead I could take my tonneau cover to him to use as a template in making yours.

What's in it for me? I'd also like to get a soft top made, and this would be an opportunity to validate the quality of his work and, when it comes to making tops for you, me and anyone else, he could use my car to create the necessary templates.

Just my $0.02.

Thanks John, I am interested in a soft top, I want a good one if I'm going to buy one. And I'd really like to have something for a long trip. I know you've got bigger fish to fry now. However, if you retail the top, I think you'd get some takers!

Cycleguy55, Maybe we can get the components to work on a better top through another supplier and John with a body to work from. A top maker is going to need the peripheral components and a car to make the templates.
