Good Morning fellow WCC owners:
In the event that any of the components of the frontend of our cars needs replacement due to normal wear and tear, what type of Frontend do we have is it a Mustang II Independent front suspension , rack and pinion, cross members, control arms, shocks & coils?
I really don't want to deal with Vern's lackadaisical attitude towards customer service so we need to explore other sources.
Have anyone faced these issues yet?
Supposedly the instruction manual for assembly that he put out is close to useless, any thoughts anyone? For the benefit of all?
Thanks

There is a Kellison manual floating about. I think you can reference that, but it won't be what's on your car... The Kellison had Ford parts. That being the case, you can start from that or measure what you have and go to a front end suspension specialist. Other than that we need someone to come forth with some replacement parts experience.
Are you interested in replacing springs control arms etc? Or just shocks & springs? Also, did you get your upper trailing arms from Flintstone?

Hi Xack:
I just want to have a general idea as to what is what with the most critical components, I think I have a copy of that manual. And to answer your last question, no I did not, after I took the pictures of the upper trailing arms he said to me that they were fine they were the correct Ford trailing arms, here is a picture of what is on my car.
Stay well buddy
Lou

I have an original Mustang II front end in my car. The UCA and strut rod bushings have been replaced with Energy Suspension black (graphite impregnated) urethane bushings and I'm running QA1 coilovers. I had a wheel alignment about 2 months ago and have logged about 500 miles since then.
A couple of days ago I was backing out of my driveway and was rolling a bit quicker than usual when I hit the brakes firmly with the wheels turned to the left. There was a somewhat disconcerting clunk from the right / passenger front suspension and, since then, there is a noticeable increase in negative camber on the right / passenger front wheel and the car pulls to the left.
The most logical explanation seems to be that the UCA mount must have moved - probably inward at the front of the UCA. It's booked into the same alignment shop that last worked on it, but I'd appreciate some expert opinions before heading there next week.
Thoughts?

Just to close the loop on this. It turns out my UCA shifted when I hit the brakes. The alignment shop was somewhat baffled by it and said they'd never seen that before. Regardless, they stood behind their work and fixed it up quickly and at no charge. I attempted tightening it further when I got it home, but there was no movement, so it appears they've torqued it down really well this time!

Depending on what front end you want you can get what you need from Heidts makes both springs or coilovers
