It would have a salvage title it has been wrecked, totalled by the insurance company and then bought back from the wrecking yard as a salvage title. I did that with a car I had in high school. Ins Company totalled it, paid me $3000 then I bought it back for $800 and repaired most of it myself ove the next 2 years

I'm aware of that, but nowhere in the add does it state anything about being "totaled" or wrecked other than some "road rash" to the left front fender...
For the kind of money the're asking for this car, seems like they should disclose why it has a salvage title and what were the damages to the car....at least I would want to know that if I were interested in buying the car....

It is "buyer beware" and some poor soul will purchase this needing "cosmetic repair" vehicle and eventually discover the tub is toast! Of course by that time they will have little or no recourse, such sales are "as-is, where-is" customarily in the salvage industry. The seller sorta neglects to mention they are a salvage seller although the do have the sign in a photo.

Anyone who buys such a vehicle sight unseen and without expert inspection probably deserves the bone job they will get. There is no free lunch, you can't buy a GT40 for that price with those specifications without having some sort of issues.

The couple thousand the body damage will cost to repair pales against the cost of the monocoque repair!

all i can say is wow...........
seeing what damage there is on the lower front fender and also the scuffed rim , what i dont get is it looks like such a minor hit, and yet it caused so much damage to the tub or frame?

sorry if thats the case, these cars are to brittle, any little thing and it causes that much damage, what is shows looks like nothing,

maybe its just me but i wouldnt buy one knowing that any little thing and the frame is toast.

Read the thread on GT40s.com. The hit was pretty solid and the energy transfered into the suspension mounting poits on the tub. Not designed to take loads like that in that direction.....not a case of "brittle", but of physics.
