This must be the new GT that Ganassi Racing is putting in their paddock to race at Monterey this year in the Tudor Series and at 24 Hours LeMans. I posted a thread about it a while back with the article. Here it is...

A New Ford GT to Race at LeMans
Hi Bern,

According to Hank the Duce they will be produced next year and to homologate they need some sold to the public prior to racing them so possibly race them in '17. It will be the 50th anniversary of Ford's "All American" win @ Lemans.......so maybe.

ADD:
The year 1967 marked the second of four consecutive years in which an American-built car powered by an American engine driven by American drivers racing for an American team won the famous race -- a feat that has never been repeated.

They did not announce a price. The eco is in there to conform to the race rules Ford wants for homologation.

Not if the purpose of the car first is to win at Le Mans and homologation is merely an inconvenience. Production numbers expected to be in the 1200 range over 3 to 4 years. Prices expected in the 400K range buy my dealer owner says it will be much greater than that. At 250-300 units per year in a world market there won't be any left for us mere mortals.

Your dealer knows nothing. Nothing.

I was on the press conference feed today and nothing was given to us at the dealer level that was not given to the general press. Any pricing, production quantities or anything else is pure speculation at this time. I have no doubt that some dealers are taking "deposits" on a car they have no idea of availability or pricing on currently. P. T. Barnum called it.................
