Talking What did you drive today?

Gentleman
I'm not one to boast but today was one of those days when a once in a lifetime opportunity presented itself, and I was actually in a position to take it.

I GOT TO DRIVE A PROTOTYPE 2004 FORD GT!

If only I'd have gotten the chance to take it on a road course!
The car is AMAZING. Even in rough prototype form, the car is just unreal. Move the wheel a little, the car moves a little, drop the hammer, absolutely smooth seemingly endless flow of power to the ground in such a civilized manner you'd swear you're only going half the speed you are, tap the brakes and you've just felt what it's like to be in a rear end collision, YOU STOP RIGHT NOW.
The supercharger is present, but in no way annoying.
The exhaust on this car was horribly abused, but the throaty growl was still there. Throttle response was good all things considered, but certainly no aluminum flywheel here. VERY easy to drive in first, super velvety clutch.
My only complaint would be visibility, it's tough to see in traffic, especially out the passenger side rear view mirror.
But, I made it from point a to b without any damage, and, therefore, I still have my job.

The car is amazing for sure, I'm just sorry to know that it's priced where most of us will never be able to touch it, but compared to more expensive Ferrari's and Lambo's... I think Mr. Colletti has achieved his objective just as Mr.Ford did in the 60's, nothing can replace American V8 torque - and when you put it into the right chassis - all competitors be damned!

Bottom line, THE CAR ROCKS - but so smoothly and effortlessly, you have to look at the speedo (far off to the right, the tach is right above the collumn where it should be, flanked by water temp and oil pressure) to notice!

Thumbs up

Ok, it's official...you really ARE my hero now!

Please do not bath until after I see you for the Woodward cruise, for I must touch your GT'ness!

That is soooo awesome. And to think I'm stuck here driving boring Hondas.....

Once again my friend, YOU ARE THE MAN!
